Enhancing Formation Permeability For Injector Well# Sidra-7

Case In Brief

  • An obvious decline in the daily injection rate with noticeable increase in the WHP value due to very low permeability of the formation zone (Upper Baharyia) and formation matrix damage status that in need to a special chemical treatment.

Enhancing Formation Permeability For Injector Well# Sidra-7

Challenge

  • Very sensitive Sand Stone formation matrix
  • Bad experience of chemical treatment with other companies
  • Upper Baharyia perf. Interval is only 20 Ft.
  • The injectivity test before shows very low injectivity with a pressure exceeding the agreed safe limit on formation i.e. the well was mostly plugged with a non-continuous injection rate.
Enhancing Formation Permeability For Injector Well# Sidra-7

Solution

SCSR-02Chemical squeeze in the formation for permeability enhancement Through coiled tubing operation

Results

The last data for well S-7 which showed the injection rate reach to 400 BWPD with 1970 psi compare with 250 BWPD before the job with the same WHP. Based on Norpetco official reports. The job proved that SCS chemical is not damaging fluid like the normal acid used before on other well and get 60% increase on the injection rate
